Board of Trustees and Sponsoring Churches

Martha & Mary is fortunate because of the support and respect it receives from communities and individuals throughout the region. While some support the mission through financial giving, others support it with their time. One of the very important ways that one can give their time to the mission at Martha & Mary is by serving as a member of the Board of Trustees.

The Board works in conjunction with management, the delegates, and the community at large to ensure the mission is growing and effective in the West Sound. While many of the Trustees are members of one of the nine sponsoring congregations, it is not a requirement as there are "at-large" seats within the Board as well.

Board leadership is always interested in knowing who has an interest in serving as a Trustee or even as a member on one of the many sub-committees. At any given point in time, the Board is looking for talented members to help bring expertise and diversity to the organization's governing body. Some of the areas of expertise the Board likes to maintain include but are not limited to:

• Strategic Planning
• Fund Development
• Risk Management
• Personnel

Martha & Mary would not be what it is today if it wasn't for the dedicated Trustees that volunteer their time and the sponsoring congregations that continue to support our mission.
