Volunteers

We could not do what we do for our customers without our volunteers!

We're proud that over 350 volunteers and their 17,000 annual hours do so much to enhance the quality of life for the residents and children here at Martha & Mary. Needless to say, our Volunteer Services Department strives to create an environment that welcomes and successfully integrates community members as active participants in our organization.

There are a variety of opportunities for volunteers at Martha & Mary:

  • Clerking in our Gift Shop
  • Assisting Activities Staff with 50+ weekly activities
  • Bus Driver for Resident and Children outings
  • Rocking and/or feeding babies at the Child Care Center
  • Visiting Residents
  • Horticulture Program
  • Feeding Assistant Program
  • Transportation Buddies
  • Preparing and Sorting Mass Mailings
  • Artists on the Campus Program
  • Spiritual Ministries
  • Administrative (Filing and Shredding)
  • Pet Therapy Program
  • Massage Therapy Program
  • Mending Clothes
  • Computer / Network Skills

You may begin volunteering at age 13, although the scope of your volunteer work may be limited until you reach age 16.

Criteria for volunteering:

  • Completion of a Volunteer Application
  • Interview with the Volunteer Services Coordinator
  • Background Check
