Independent Retirement Apartments, Poulsbo
The Martha & Mary Independent Living Center, named "The Ebenezer Apartments", is tucked away within the hills of Poulsbo overlooking beautiful Liberty Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Ebenezer offers 24 affordable apartments for residents age 62 and older. These apartments are for those residents who are independent and capable of handling daily living.
The Ebenezer Apartments offer residents a variety of social opportunities. Whether it's shopping, playing games, attending a college course at Olympic College or just discussing the local news over coffee on Sunday morning, there's always something to do!
Located close to downtown Poulsbo, residents are able to remain involved in the community. And for those residents who do not have their own transportation, there is the ACCESS transportation system. Residents also find satisfaction from the many volunteer opportunities that are available at either the Martha & Mary Health and Rehab Center or one of the various Martha & Mary KIDS Centers.

Kingston Village Green Affordable Senior Apartments
Construction is anticipated to begin Winter 2011 or Spring 2012.
Disclaimer: The image below represents conceptual schematics.

This project, which is currently in the stages of being funded for development, designed to meet several distinct and unmet community needs. Forty apartment units for low-income seniors are being created through the unique joining together of: Martha & Mary, a local community-based non-profit, Shelter Resources, Inc., the Village Green Foundation, the Kingston Citizens Advisory Council, the Kingston Stakeholder Group, a sub-set of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce focused on development in the heart of Kingston, and Kitsap County as the land owner. The financing and management of the 35 units is being created through a partnership between Martha & Mary Lutheran Services (MMLS), as general partner, the applicant of this request and Shelter Resources, Inc. (SRI).
The senior housing community is to be located on a to-be platted parcel consisting of approximately 1.5 acres. The frontage right-of-way, West Kingston Way, provides excellent vehicular and pedestrian access and pleasant territorial views. The proposed apartment building will contain 24 one-bedroom units at approx. 610 sq/ft, 11 two-bedroom units at approx. 810 sq/ft, including a resident manager residence, common facilities (lobby, living room, theater, computer lab, storage) and hallway circulation spaces. The project design is upgraded for affordable housing involving well-modulated facades, upper story exterior deck areas, and a good mix of exterior cladding materials which will fit well into the immediate neighborhood.
Please check back for additional information in the coming months. The project is expected to open in 2013.
