Greenhouse Groundbreaking Scheduled |
|
On Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., Martha & Mary will be hosting a Ground Breaking Ceremony to officially begin the construction of a Greenhouse at the Martha & Mary Health and Rehab Center in Poulsbo. The community is invited to join in the celebration. The project has been a long envisioned expansion of the facility’s Horticulture Program which will facilitate gardening activities throughout the year, regardless of weather. Fundraising efforts to underwrite the project have spanned the past few years, with momentum building during 2005 with grants from the Poulsbo Rotary Club, Kitsap Bank, and Poulsbo Kiwanis Foundation to name a few. The Poulsbo/North Kitsap Rotary Club has also taken on the construction of the greenhouse as a community service project under the direction of Dan Snitchler, with assistance from Jeff Bowers and others. “It’s wonderful to see so much community support for this project from individuals and organizations alike” stated Martha & Mary Administrator, Chad Solvie. “Given the placement of the greenhouse at the south end of the Martha & Mary campus, we hope it will be an addition to the downtown Poulsbo landscape that the whole community can enjoy.” If you would like more information on the Greenhouse Project, please contact Rob Gelder at (360) 394-4004 or by our contact form. |
