Employee Friendship Fund
The employees at Martha & Mary have established the “Friendship Fund”. Employees contribute to the fund through payroll deductions. The “Friendship Fund” is designed to provide emergency financial assistance to employees – money is loaned out to employees, interest-free, as long as there is a promise and commitment to pay it back, usually through payroll deductions. You are not required to participate in the Friendship Fund; however, if you do not contribute to the Fund, you are not eligible to apply for loans.
Career Development
Scholarships and Loan Forgiveness Programs
We are interested in helping employees enhance the care they provide by improving their knowledge and skills through continuing education programs. Our scholarship program is designed to assist you in upgrading your education and skills through Certification, Professional License, Degree, or specialized skill training. Upon completion of 12 months of employment with M&M you may apply for a Weedman Educational Loan, Forgiveness Loan, or other similar program and apply the funds toward the costs of continuing education programs that will upgrade your skills and ability to function in a higher-level position. You will be expected to continue your employment at M&M during schooling and for a specified time period after completing your program in order to take full advantage of the loan repayment forgiveness features of these loan programs. Martha & Mary has also been selected as a healthcare provider by the government where nurses are able to apply for government programs to get their school loans forgiven.
