Martha & Mary currently has more than 400 volunteers participating in over 30 areas of service.  For more information contact our Volunteer Services Director or submit a volunteer application.  Applicants will be contacted for a full orientation, tour of the facility and individual placement.

A Variety of Opportunities:

Gift Shop Clerk
Assisting residents and staff with quality of life activities
Evening Game activities
Various Art Programs
Accompany residents on outdoor walks or walks within the facility
Assist with our Eden Alternative Program involving animals and plants
Sewing, crocheting and knitting
Wood Shop
One on One treat / activity cart visits offering in-room activities – books; magazines; games; puzzles, movies, treats and music
Share musical talents such as vocal or instumental
Refer a musical, dance or various entertainment group to perform
Rocking and/or feeding babies at the Child Care Center
(Requires additional security)
Visiting residents
Horticulture Program
Resident gardening
Assisting in the Greenhouse
Flower arranging
Room visits to water plants
Feeding Assistant Program (Requires brief in-service on feeding)
Assist in Dining Room at meal times (pass trays/set-up/bus tables)
Spiritual Ministries
Provide assistance for Sunday and mid-week Chapel services
Provide assistance for Bible Study
One on One individualized resident room visits
Assist with evening quiet time activities (6-8pm)
Supply bake goods for resident activities
Assist with Glamour time
Administrative (Filing and Shredding)
Pet Therapy Program
Mending clothes
Help with special events, fundraisers, monthly parties
Computer/Network skills

You may begin volunteering at age 13, although the scope of your volunteer work may be limited until you reach age 16.

Criteria for Volunteering:

• Completion of a Volunteer Application
• Interview with the Volunteer Services Director
• Background Check
