Martha & Mary needs your help. For more than 133 years, we have worked to fill the need for quality child and senior care in the Kitsap community. If you are visiting this page, you probably know someone that has been cared for by our dedicated team.
As a non-profit organization, we’re grateful to be able to focus on upholding our high standards rather than on growing profits. But that means we rely on the help of our generous donors such as yourself to close the gap between Medicaid and other state and federal programs so we can continue to serve our community on both ends of life.
The need is great. Nearly 600 skilled nursing facilities closed in the U.S. during the pandemic, and more close every day due to diminishing profitability. As Kitsap grows, so will the need quality childcare and compassionate senior care.

Max Hayslette and Martha & Mary
World-renowned artist Max Hayslette was a long-time friend, resident, and supporter of Martha & Mary. His masterful paintings can be found around the world in famous galleries, educational institutions, and in many corporate and private collections.
In 2015, Max directed the incredible gift of his entire Northwest Collection to Martha & Mary upon his passing. Max shared, “Martha & Mary is a jewel in our community, and I am excited at this opportunity to contribute not just to a fine care center, but to give back to a community that I have lived in for more than 50 years.”
The gift we received from Max is a heartfelt expression of his love for Martha & Mary and the incredible work we do. The Northwest Collection, revered worldwide, will forever keep Max’s spirit alive among us. We are truly honored to be part of his legacy and pledge to uphold the memory of his fine art for years to come.
